Preme's Top 15 of 2023

From the Teezo Touchdown Show to the Lyrical Lemonade 10th Anniversary Show to Juicewrld Day and Travis Scott's Circus Maximus Tour, Chicago DJ, Preme has been a crazy run (per usual). With his explosive year, I fully expected this collection of songs to that match that same energy, and I was not disappointed. 15. Home Run * Chris the Kingpin ft Sonny + ItsOmari

WHAT. A. SONG. Chris gave a smooth song in the bottom of 2023 and I feel like all 3 artist really came to prove something on this track right here!Definitely a song you can vibe to on a cool night maybe keep on repeat when you are cleaning your room (that's what I did lol).

14. Lv.ffestyvlee * Fuego Baine

"SHE JUST WANNA LIVE THAT LIFESTYLEEE!" Trust me you'll get it when you listen lol. Such a fun track from the young goat. I am definitely looking forward to what he has in store for 2024. This right here is the song you play on your way to the function!!

13. Second Nature * Warhol.SS

When we did the release party for this project I told Warhol.SS ,"this is my favorite song" and he responded "me too". Warhol's new project is really really good and I feel like this song is just real smooth Chicago music that anyone can feel!

12. NFL * LiL Uzi Vert

What a fun song by Uzi! Surprised dropped it towards the early end of 2023 and honestly it's a classic for me!It's like a new vibe for uzi especially coming off of the pink take and I feel like the video gives it even more energy! One of my theme songs for sure!

11. Testimony * NBA YoungBoy

I love when YoungBoy gets into his pain music bag because that's when he actually has something to say or like in this track is giving his testimony! A song that definitely makes me reminisce on certain things, especially with the lyric content of the song!

10. Rehab * Lil Uzi Vert

I feel like this song is a beautiful song and definitely one of my favorites from 2023. In this song, Uzi is very vulnerable about his time in rehab and I feel like it is always cool to hear a song where an artist is telling the listener when a time is hard or just taking us through a journey. Beautifully produced as well and definitely a sleeper on the pink tape

9. One Track Minded * Joony ft. Kelz -

Joony and Kelz have recently been some of my favorite artist coming out the east coast and wow this is such a smooth song.

Something you could just catch a vibe to and hear some great singing as well! Definitely was on REPEAT during 2023!

8. Crazy Girl * BKTheRula

Lvl 5 was another amazing project that came out this year and it showed so many sides of BK. I love this song because it's so relatable but also fun at the same time. I hope she continues to give us tracks like this one and ones like IDo it again"!

7. Strike * Lil Yachty

Song of the year. That's it. A moment with a great beat so simple but a nice journey as well. Omg I love this song bro

6. The Caliphate * Earl Swearshirt ft. Vince Staples

What a great year for Earl! I felt like this song is such a nostalgic moment for Doris era Earl fans because since then him and Vince have never missed on a collaboration! The bars compliment the very slow and steady beat which makes you want to hear what they are saying and tbh in my opinion Vince gives a Verse of the year performance on this song as well!

5. All the Parties * Drake ft Chief Keef

I'm not going to lie For all the dogs was a decent project from Drake! I love some of the music sonically especially on the second half but this one takes the cake for me! It's like a mixture of old and new Drake with a legendary beat switch as well and chief keef just adds this very high energy presence on it that makes you almost forget what's coming next in the track!

4. Tramp Stamp * Veeze

Ganger is my album of the year. One of the most consistent albums if not in my playlist but also multiple people have said the same thing! I feel like this song is Veeze's B side where we are gonna look back years from now and be like, "wow that was a well put together song!" The beat reminds me of the night time cruising down lake shore drive for sureeee!!

3. My Eyes * Travis Scott

ALL BIAS ASIDE!! Utopia was one of my favorite projects of the year and I feel like this was one of the songs that Travis not only gave us every side of his artistry on but also kinda got lyrical at the end. Song reminds me of a Frank Ocean blonde type of vibe, but then he takes you literally through his eyes in the second half where he just lets it all out in a minute of time almost! It's like I'm traveling through time when I listen to this!

2. Bottom *Gunna

Now this is my personal 15 so I don't really care what you think. I just like doing this stuff cause it's fun, but man did I miss Gunna. This album reminded us that he didn't miss a beat while he was gone and this is definitely top 3 songs on his latest project. The way he speaks on life and coming from nothing to something and with turbo providing that classic gunna sound it's smooth like butter! He answered a lot of questions around his name on this one and just reminded us why he is one of the best artist to do what he does on a track!

1. Plavboi Carti * UrtheMoon/Different Day

SCHYEAHHHHH. Song is self explanatory he saved 2023 with the last minute drop.What can I say lol it's Cart being Carti! 10/10
